Adolescence to Adulthood Term - Program

Following on from the Puppy Program, I’m here to guide and support you through the next stage of your dog’s life — adolescence to adulthood.

Canine adolescence can be a tricky period for any owner. You may notice some changes in your dog from around 6 months old: your once dependent puppy is now ignoring you, not following you around in the park like they used too, talking back, not coming when they’re called and just generally acting like a good ol’ teenager. You may have noticed new behaviors developing; barking at the door, jumping on visitors, bolting in the park?

Now more than ever you want to pump up the training to positively get them through this next stage of life. Whatever the issue, my course will get them back on track.

This course is tailored to you, but here are some examples of areas we can focus on:

- Calm protocols at the café or with visitors

- Loose leash walking

- Out of sight ‘Down stay

- Off-leash recall and off-leash walking

- Chasing cats, birds/bikes/cars

- Attention proofing

- ‘Leave it’ from people and dogs

- Fetch

- Lets go

- Impulse control

- Boundaries

and any other areas of concern specific to you and your dog.
